





Design skills to learn
- painting a seascape with watercolor
- drawing ships + perspective
- mixed medium: when more than one material is used in art…. here we are applying ships drawn on card-stock + a map to a watercolor seascape
MATERIALS (SEE ART TOOLS IN MENU FOR DETAILS + LINKS)
- watercolor sketchbook or watercolor paper
- watercolor paint palette
- large watercolor paint brush (we used a crayola brush)
- white + brown card-stock
- thin black felt tip pen (we used a pilot razor point)
- thick black felt tip pen (we used a pentel sign pen)
- gray marker (we used a prisma color marker)
- ruler
- print out map (see link)
- glue stick
- 3M foam tape

- follow video to watercolor the seascape

- follow video to draw the nina . the pinta . the santa maria

Step no.3
- print + cut map for history sentence
- follow video to put on the finishing touches + write your history sentence
