DESIGN SKILLS TO LEARN
- painting on wood [or cardboard]
- creating a whitewash/barn side effect
- painting with acrylic paint
- using a template to paint a circle
- applying splatter paint when an “opportunity to be creative” arrises
MATERIALS [SEE ART TOOLS IN MENU FOR DETAILS + LINKS]
- “9 x 12” hardboard wood panel [other option: cut a piece from a cardboard box …. tears add fabulous texture or brown paper bag]
- acrylic paint: white, brown, off white, olive green, sage green, mustard, cranberry, charcoal
- paint brushes: wide stiff brush, medium flat, three thin
- circle template: made with a circle punch and card-stock [or trace something round]
- extra fine point and fine point sharpie
