- sketchbook
- pencil
- bowl for planet
- optional circle template
- ruler
- watercolor paint palette or reeves watercolor tubes (see tutorial)
- watercolor pencils or color pencils
- brushes
- think black marker
- white out correction pen or white paint with thin brush
Step no.1
- draw astronaut scene with phases of the moon balloons . see tutorial
Step no.2
- paint negative space dark blue using watercolor paint palette or watercolor from a tube as seen in the tutorial above
- note: if your moon balloons or astronaut get painted over you can always cut out circles or your astronaut and tape them on top as we did for one of our projects

- paint astronaut scene with watercolor pencils.see demo
Step no.4
- trace illustration with black felt tip pen
- label phases of the moon
- use white out correction pen to make stars
