- drawing a crusader…. we are so excited to welcome back our friend, emmett for a fabulous tutorial on how to draw a crusader! he went above and beyond and did two tutorials for us…. an advanced crusader and a basic crusader! for the basic crusader he was assisted by his sister, harley! this is such a treat! you will be so pleased with the results of following along with them.

MATERIALS: (SEE ART TOOLS IN MENU FOR DETAILS + LINKS)
- sketchbook or two sheets of heavy paper/card stock
- extra piece of watercolor paper or card stock to draw your crusader on
- pencil
- eraser
- ruler
- scissors
- 3M foam tape
- krylon satin finish or hair spray
STEP NO.1
- on a separate piece of watercolor paper or heavy card stock draw your crusader by following one of emmett’s tutorial
- the drawings below are emmett + harley’s basic crusaders and emmett’s advanced crusader
- cut out your crusader
STEP NO.2
- in your sketchbook draw a medieval castle inspired by “Castle Diary” for your background
- tutorial for castle background below
STEP NO.3
- write history sentence
- we used a “line script” style
STEP NO.4
- adhere your crusader popping off the page with 3M foam tape
- we used two pieces of foam tape folded in half for each “tape square”
STEP NO.3
- spray your drawing outside with krylon satin finish to keep your pencil drawing from smearing (or you can use hairspray)
