- bonjour…. i don’t know about you, but i wasn’t too inspired to draw aristocratics’ heads removed by the guillotine so….
- we are focusing on a bastille day celebration w/ french illustrations in a collage layout ….. i hope you’re thinking “merci”
MATERIALS (SEE ART TOOLS IN MENU FOR DETAILS + LINKS)
- watercolor sketchbook or two pieces of watercolor/heavy paper
- extra watercolor or heavy paper for french illustrations
- art tape or masking tape
- red and blue tempera paint or poster paint
- wide paint brush
- ruler
- pencil
- thin and thick felt tip pens
- scissor
- 3M foam tape
STep no.1
- follow demo to paint the french flag
Step no.2
- use a pencil to draw french illustrations for the collage
- we used art for kids hub to draw the eiffel tower (see video below)
Step no.3
- trace drawings in black felt tip marker and shade with pencil
- cut out
SteP no.4
- write history sentence with black felt tip pens or a brush marker
Step no.5
- tape collage illustrations onto flag with 3M foam tape
