cc cycle 1.week 23+24.history.south america+portuguse empire

For this project my girls asked if we could get out our gelatos. They are a fun medium … a cross between watercolor crayons and oil pastels. We did a demo so you can see how they work. As with all our projects you can change the medium and for this project watercolor paint and watercolor pencils will work just fine.

At home, this was a lesson in how to be creative when you make a mistake …. that is how we ended up with a portion of the timeline card to the right of the project…. mommy made a boo boo, but in the end we like the coverup job! mistakes are an opportunity to be creative!

STEP NO.3

  • When I found postage stamps with the historical figures found in our history sentences I was inspired to incorporate them in our page! I put them all together on one page that you printed and cut out.
  • print the postage stamps on sticker paper or plain paper and glue in with a glue stick.
  • make a copy of the CC liberation of south america timeline card, cut in half, and round the corners
