For this project we were inspired by comic book art! We created stories about the four kinds of weather fronts with cute little girls, Calvin & Hobbes, and a weatherman. We worked on creating shadows by using a gray marker to make a black and white line drawings pop.
MATERIALS: SEE ART TOOLS IN MENU FOR DETAILS
- sketchbook or paper
- pencil
- ruler
- thin black pen
- gray marker (I used 50% cool gray prismacolor marker)
STEP NO.1
- divide two pages in to four equal rectangles
- have fun drawing comics and stories around four kinds of weather fronts!

- draw in pencil and trace in black pen
STEP NO.2
- shadow drawing using a gray marker: choose right or left, top or bottom and stick with it through out your project….. it’s so fun to see how this simple technique really makes your drawing pop!
